like the fact that if things carry on like this,
you may never see a panda up close, ride a horse,
feel a bee on your hand, breathe a clear wind.
For weeks you have been playing with something.
You thought it was a bomb.
You now know it is a full stop.
You threaten to swallow it –
Michelle Diaz lives in the colourful town of Glastonbury with her 11-year-old son who has Tourette Syndrome. She had an extremely strange upbringing. These ingredients have inspired her to write oodles. She has been published by Prole, Strix, Picaroon, Amaryllis and a few other super magazines. Without poetry, her soul would be incredibly hungry.
